Sansevieria CHELOMITA

The plant pictured is Sansevieria Hybrid 'Chelomita', a highly sought-after and relatively modern snake plant variety developed within the vibrant succulent breeding circuits of Southeast Asia, particularly popularized by collectors and hybridizers in Indonesia.
This particular cultivar is a cross between Sansevieria robusta and Sansevieria subspicata, inheriting a beautiful balance of traits from both parent species. It features broad, deeply channeled, lanceolate leaves that grow in a tight, architectural rosette arrangement.

The foliage is a rich, deep forest green that often shows subtle undulating waves along the margins and a slight twist as the leaves mature.

From its robusta lineage, it gains a thick, sturdy leaf texture and a highly compact, structurally sound growth habit, while its subspicata parentage contributes to the more flexible, pointed leaf tips and slightly softer leaf curvature.

Under mature growth conditions, individual leaves generally achieve a uniform width of nearly two inches and can stretch anywhere from twelve inches to an overall tip-to-tip span of two feet. As seen in your bare-root specimens, 'Chelomita' possesses a exceptionally strong, fibrous orange-brown root system and a thick, pale rhizome, which makes it an incredibly resilient, drought-tolerant plant well-suited for well-draining soil mixes and bright, indirect indoor lighting.
