The name Kuku Bima translates literally to "The Claw of Bhima" (a prominent, powerful, and giant warrior hero from the Hindu epic Mahabharata, heavily integrated into Indonesian Javanese wayang folklore). The plant earns this title because its growth habit features thick, rigid, deeply channeled, and sharply pointed upward-curving leaves that perfectly mimic the legendary weapon-like, indestructible thumbnail (Kuku Pancanaka) of Bhima.

Sansevieria hybrid 'Kuku Bima' was developed in Indonesia during the peak of the country's Sansevieria collecting boom between 2006 to 2009 with zenith around 2007 and 2008.

Pictures of this variegated version were taken on 16 May 2029, it’s a fairly large size but not a specimen or full grown as yet.

A beautiful and rare variety of Sansevieria, Kuku Bima Variegated is only available at Fermosa for sale and very few collectors in India hold it in their collections being rare.
